Dejoo Estate TGFOP(S) from Upton Tea Imports

Dry leaf's aroma is more suggestive of a Keemun than an Assam. Brewing, I find this tea fits Upton's description very closely:
It's deep and malty, a faint hint of fruitiness (less than the dry leaf suggests), dark, but very smooth, and with some fresh herbaceous tones. Strong but without being overly bitter. Som...
Assam from Two Leaves and a Bud

This is a very mild Assam. It is super smooth and has no bitterness whatsoever. To me it tastes like malty, liquid honey. It is super sweet, thick, and smooth. It has a sweet smell, similar to a raisin or apricot, with a slight tobacco aroma. When I taste it however, the only flavors that come through for me are the...

Yum, what a nice tea. Be sure to brew for just 3 minutes. It is very smooth, with hints of nuts and fruit, along with a good bit of sweetness. There's a little bite at the end to ground it. Very good tea

The dry leaf is by far the fruitiest-smelling Assam that I have yet encountered...but upon brewing it's a little less fruity. This is a very strong tea...when brewed it's maltier than fruity, and has a fairly tannic aftertaste like Teavana describes. Bitter and somewhat astringent...I've had much smoother Assams.

220 Assam Malty FBOP from SpecialTeas
Style: Assam – Region: Assam, India60 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

My favorite of the low priced Assam from special tea's. Very rich in flavor, though if you are a lover of malty Assam you will find this tea to be lacking a truly strong malty-ness. If you are like me then I suggest Yamamotoyama's orange pekoe.
Overall a good tea.

Note:
I am reviewing the Mangalam FBOP
not a typical malty assam, smooth and mild. Aroma and flavor are lacking, but for the price a great bargain.
Tippy Assam from Williamson Tea

A bold and powerful tea but with some complexity. Fine broken leaf. Infuses quickly...I recommend one and a half minutes, and using less than a teaspoon of leaves. However, if you enjoy a stronger cup, this tea does not get as astringent as you might expect if you brew it longer.
Aroma malty, slightly more vegeta...

This tea has amazing subtle fruity overtones. i don't know how that can be produced by a black tea which I always thought of as strong and bitter. The fruit i think of when drinking this tea is a mirabelle, a small french apricot like fruit.

This tea is very mild in flavor. I like it because it's pleasant, not at all overpowering even if you leave the tea bag in your cup and doesn't leave an unpleasant aftertaste in your mouth.

My reaction to this tea was pretty much: eh. I resent paying luxury rates for a tea that tastes like a budget hotel.

Mellow, smooth, rich malty flavor. Deep red color; little bitterness or astringency. Very enjoyable. I find this tea grows on me. There is a suggestion of sweet fruit in the aroma, almost like baked apples.
Two leaves and a bud recommends a 4-minute infusion. I prefer a 2-minute infusion followed by a second 4-...
